The SLE4428 is a low-cost standard smartcard with 1Kbyte EEPROM memory. It is a protected smartcard consisting of 1,024 bytes of EEPROM memory.
After eight consecutive wrong entries, the error counter blocks any subsequent attempt to verify the PSC and thus any possibility of writing and deleting. No doubt this gives a sense of security to users.
SLE4428 is now replaced by SLE5528. SLE5528 is 100% compatible with SLE 4428.
