The FM4442 chip offers the same functionality as the now discontinued Infineon SLE4442 chip. It offers a 256x8-bit EEPROM with write protection functions and programmable security code.

The FM4442 also features irreversible byte-wise write protection. The contact configuration complies with the ISO 7816 standard (synchronous transmission) and has a minimum of 100,000 write/erase cycles.

Typical applications include customer loyalty cards, health cards, membership cards, school cards, vending machine cards, ID cards and access control.
