NXP's ISO14443A Classic 4K expanded memory card operates at a wireless frequency of 13.56 MHz, according to the ISO 14443A standard, and contains 4Kbytes of read/write memory that can be used for various applications. Supplied as an ISO standard PVC printable white card, it can be printed with plastic card printers on the market.

Contactless card based on RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology, a radio frequency data transmission method that does not require contact between the card and the reader.

ISO14443A Ultralight has a 512-bit read/write EEPROM memory and is compatible with ISO14443A's current infrastructures. Operating in compliance with the ISO 14443A standard, ISO14443A ultralight operates up to a distance of 10 cm with anti-collision properties and without the need for a battery. It enables the development of a contactless electronic payment system for use in public transport and other applications.

Transmission is highly secure as the read/write devices need to know the access key in order to access the data contained in the card chip, and without an access key the card is inviolable.
