iCODE SLI-X is a chip dedicated to smart label applications such as libraries, product authentication in various industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices and alcohol, as well as production management in various industry sectors.
This IC represents the third generation of a family of smart label ICs based on ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 standards, extending NXP®'s success story in the field of proximity identification systems.
Contactless power and data transfer
When connected to a very simple and easy-to-produce antenna type (thanks to its 13.56 MHz carrier frequency) consisting of a few printed, wound, etched or punched windings, the ICODE SLIX IC can operate up to a distance of 1.5 m. No battery is required. When the smart label is placed in the field of the interrogator antenna, the high-speed RF communication interface enables data transmission at up to 53 kbit/s.
Anti-collision
An intelligent anti-collision function allows multiple tags to operate simultaneously in the field. The anti-collision algorithm selects each tag individually and ensures that the execution of a transaction with a selected tag takes place correctly, without data being corrupted by other tags in the field.
